The Seven Magic Mountains: A Vibrant Oasis in the Nevada Desert




The Seven Magic Mountains is a public art installation located in the Ivanpah Valley near Las Vegas, Nevada. It features seven towers of colorful, stacked boulders standing more than thirty feet high. The installation was created by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone and was opened to the public in May 2016. It cost about 3 million dollars and took four years to create.


The Seven Magic Mountains are free to visit and are some of the best land art you will find close to Las Vegas.


How to get there ?


They are located near Jean Dry Lake on Interstate 15 around ten miles from south Las Vegas in Nevada. Driving from the Las Vegas Strip to Seven Magic Mountains usually takes about 20-30 minutes one way, depending on traffic.


Best time to visit ?


The best time to visit Seven Magic Mountains is early in the morning if you want to avoid crowds. If you want rich vibrant photos, visit in the late afternoon. And if you want the 7 Magic Mountains all to yourself plan your trip for early in the morning on a weekday in the off-season.


Conclusion


It Is an easy day trip form Las Vegas and it is also one of the best free things to do in Las Vegas. The seven brightly coloured stacked boulder towers are free. to visit and open 24 hours a day.
